Fiber-Glass

Fiber-glass is one of the easy-to-install and budget-friendly insulations we use for homes and commercial buildings, and it serves different purposes, including resisting fire, reducing indoor noise, enhancing air quality, and preventing moisture.

Fiberglass comes in three types: loose-fill, rolled-batt, and reinforced plastic. The type of fiber-glass to be used depends on the type of project. We install them in places like crawl spaces, attics, walls, and ceilings, and they are ideal in places like commercial kitchens, bathrooms, and storage areas.

Spray-Foam

Spray-foam insulation is eco-friendly and cost-effective in the long run. They are of two varieties: open-cell and closed-cell. We install them in wall gaps and crevices. They are the best insulation material for energy efficiency as they prevent heating and cooling loss in six different ways: conduction, convection, radiation, air infiltration, moisture accumulation, and air intrusion, reducing bills spent on energy.

Cellulose Insulation

Many of the building contractors love the cellulose insulation because it is mainly made from recycled materials like paper, plants, and denim, making it the most eco-friendly insulation material. However, the cellulose insulation is of three types: loose-fill, densely packed cellulose and wet-applied spray cellulose. They serve the same purposes but are used differently in buildings.

• Loose-fill: It is being blown into open irregular spaces like attics, wall cavities, and floors.
• Densely packed Cellulose: They are the most dense cellulose insulation, commonly used for retrofitting, and they are suited for walls and other enclosed cavities.
• Wet-applied Cellulose: Cellulose fibers are mixed with water and adhesive to make them stick when sprayed directly into wall cavities. They are installed in new construction or newly renovated buildings , particularly in wall cavities, before being drywalled.

Rigid Foam/Board

Rigid foam is made with material that effectively slows down the transfer of heat (keeping warm air indoors during the winter and outside during the summer). It is also good at resisting moisture while preventing mold and mildew. They are installed in places like interior walls, exterior walls, ceilings, roofs, and attics. They are sold in the lengths of 4 foot by 8 foot sheets, and the thickness ranges between ½ inch and 2 inches.

Meanwhile, rigid foams are available in different types, including expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS), and polyisocyanurate (Polyiso ISO), all of which have their own unique features. Therefore, we assess a building's needs before deciding on the type of rigid foam board insulation to be installed.
